The South African World Cup is upon us and with only 2 sleeps to go we are taking this time and opportunity to wish Bafana Bafana the best of luck for the opening game on friday. We will all be watching and blowing our Vuvuzela’s (no matter how annoying they may be) in support. The country is the most united I have seen EVER (without doubt) and I can only get excited at what sport does to us all and wish that this feeling, that everyone in South Africa at the moment is embracing, will stay in all our hearts till LONG after the games are over. With positivity, unity, excitement, motivation and friendliness like this South Africa can only grow and we could all benefit.

To all our international visitors, thank you for joining us. Hopefully your experience will be unforgotten.

Yellow Capital is an independent fee based wealth management boutique. Their practice was born from the two fundamental money management professions of financial planning and investment portfolio management. Their main area of expertise is investment advice and their clients call upon them to co-ordinate and manage their wealth with bankers, trust & estate practitioners, legal councilors and taxation specialists. They hold a referral network of very specialized professional firms that are vetted for the highest standards of professionalism and service delivery.

We were contacted by the Yellow Capital team at the start of 2010 to discuss their online growth and they commissioned us to assist them with moving forward and we jumped at the opportunity after experiencing their professionalism and expectations. Their brief was complex with a mass of information and requirements that needed to be implemented so we worked really closely with the team to ensure that everything was finished correctly and to their high standards of quality.

Melon Graphics designed and developed several different company sites for them ranging from Yellow Capital Wealth Management sites for each of the main countries that they are based in as well as sites for their group holding company, blog, resource library and then one for online gold sales. Majority of the sites have been developed around WordPress so that the Yellow Capital team can update the sites themselves with content and day to day news but Melon Graphics will provide support for on going maintenance and modifications.

It has been a pleasure working with a team so dedicated to what they do and we are currently designing their marketing material implementing their new logo, emblem and colour scheme. This includes business cards, online presentations, brochures, pens, cuff links and golf shirts.

Verb is a collaborative initiative to encourage and promote a positive change within society. Activist at its core, Verb is about creating, evolving and empowering. This year’s selected Verb artists consist of 12 prominent illustrators and lowbrow South African artists and includes Kronk, Theory One, Matt Edwards, Louis Minaar, Black Koki, 351073, Wesley van Eeden, Jordan Metcalf, Christian Mugnai, Bruce Mackay, Alice Edy and Bison.

We were extremely excited when the Verb family asked us to be apart of what they were doing and we got cracking on the back-end of their website so that it could be ready for their tight-deadline launch today. The site was developed around WordPress so that the crew can update the site with content and news on a daily basis with ease but we provide them with additional support on a weekly basis for larger changes that they need.

We love working with these guys and what they represent and it’s amazing working with them.

The Highway Collective started when a group of friends decided they weren’t satisfied with the offerings (or lack of them) for VW fans in the scene, and set about creating their own. Intent on showing their passion for Volkswagen without having to buy into the ricey products that were currently available, the guys set out to create apparel that reflected their side of motoring.

They have been around for a few years now and we have always found an appreciation for what they are doing so we jumped when the opportunity was given to us to redesign and develop their website from scratch. We ripped the old site down and begin from the start so that we could include features we felt would be beneficial to their growth. The site was developed around WordPress so that the guys can update it in their own time and at their own pace with ease. The site features sections for them to post news, videos, press and then an online store where their merchandise is available for sale.

This one turned out great and we have a strong feeling that this is going to explode for them.

Catherine Chater is an amazing make up artist based in London and she has worked closely with Marcus Maschwitz on photographic assignments so it is a privilege for us to announce the launch of her own portfolio website so that she can showcase some of the work she has been involved in.

The site has been designed and developed to work on the WordPress backend so that Catherine can update the news section as well as portfolio sections herself making sure that her work is constantly up to date.

Earlier this month we were commissioned to design and develop a website / portfolio showcase for Artistic Autobody which we were excited to be involved in because of the quality of their work.

The website brief outlined that the site needed to be simple yet effective in showcasing their brand of work as well as allowing them to easily update the site themselves with news of what is happening with in their company including updates on projects they are working on.

We really like the way that this one came out and look forward to seeing some of the new cars that these guys work on.

Jonathan Sherwood is an amazing illustrator and we have had the pleasure of knowing and working with him for years so it was a great pleasure when he commissioned us to work on his online presence. Jonathan works under the alias name of Sir Merlin and really has a good collection of art behind his name.

The site has been developed around WordPress and customized according the the brief that we were given allowing for individual portfolio showcases as well as day to day blogging with a twitter feed.

It has been an amazing project for us to be involved in and we are excited that there is now a place dedicated to Jon’s work. Click here to view the website.

To start the new year off we have launched the website for RSS Distribution which is an amazing skateboard distribution company based in South Africa owned and run but really nice people.

It’s always a pleasure working with the RSS crew and we enjoyed this project from start to finish. We were commissioned to set up the content management system for the site and then developed the site according to their brief. We really like the way the site looks so clean and is filled with content.
